BIOGRAPHY

Mezzo-soprano Kelly O’Shea has sung throughout Europe and the United States in venues such as the Estates Theater in Prague, Carnegie Hall, and the National Opera Center.  She has had the pleasure to sing with organizations such as Prague Summer Nights, Vienna Summer Music Festival, Pacific Opera Project, The Verdi Chorus, and The Los Angeles Symphony. Ms. O’Shea also sang as a Walter Fox Singer and an apprentice artist with the Verdi Chorus in Santa Monica, CA, an ensemble of professional young artists. 

Recent performance highlights include an all women’s cast of La Bohème where she portrayed Shaunard as both a woman and pants role with the Vienna Summer Music Festival.  At the same festival, She also covered the role of Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel and performed in the World Premiere of The Loathly Lady as the Echo. She has also portrayed such roles as Pitti-Sing in The Mikado, Kate in The Pirates of Penzance, and Despina in Così fan tutte.

She holds a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance from California State University, Northridge, 2019 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from California State University, San Luis Obispo, 2017.   She currently studies privately with Metropolitan Opera soprano, Jennifer Rowley.
